For low stress and predictable practice growth we must consistently attract new patients and to impact their long-term health we must have a healthy retention (PVA). Scientific studies demonstrate that chiropractic care affects the brain’s sensory processing, muscle control, functional performance, sensorimotor integration and so much more. With what we know to be true, it begs the question, how do we get more people to “get” it?
Whatever we think about comes about. Our thoughts are the foundation, the seed, and the blueprint for our success. If the value of our service is misunderstood or doubted, if anyone on the team does not support the vision, our practice suffers. Notice when someone on the team has a subluxation from the neck up; cancellations increase, referrals and new patients cease and everything seems to be difficult.
When we are masters of connection, communication and patient education we will have a thriving practice. When everyone on the team is focused, expectant, on fire, on purpose, ready and prepared; the practice booms. Reactivations, new people, referrals flood in. Time seems to suspend, records are broken and everything seems easy.
We get what we think about and focus on; our life is a mirror of our thoughts. We must at all times be mindful. The only thing we can control is what we are thinking. Focusing on contribution, solutions, the possibilities, and the fun in our life we will produce more of the same.
Make a habit of being in a state of grace and gratitude. Decide to take massive action to live your dreams and reach your goals. Decide to increase your knowledge, improve your skills, and get help when needed. Pay attention to what is working and do more of it. Fix what is broken, weak or ineffective.
Sometimes achieving a goal takes longer or is harder than we anticipated. If we embrace the challenge; let out goal, dream and vision light the way, we will fulfill our aspirations. Dreams do come true, to those who believe, act, prepare and have a great support team.
HOW TO GET MORE NEW PATIENTS AND INCREASE RETENTION
Here are a few questions to help you analyze your mindset, attraction mojo and create an action plan to grow.
- What is your most dominant and consistent successful thought?
- What negative or “stinkin thinkin” do you need to control?
- What triggers you to be positive and growth oriented?
- What triggers you to go to the “dark side”?
- Do you want more new people and why?
- What are you afraid of?
- What are you certain of?
- Why are you in chiropractic?
- Is there anything blocking your attraction of new people?
- Do you have the right team?
- Why do people discontinue care and how can you help them understand the value?
- What are you going to do to today to get more new people and increase your retention?
- What will you do to today to grow your practice and live your dreams?
